Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Who We Are
Card Drop ("we", "us", "our") operates the event networking platform at getcarddrop.com. For privacy questions, contact us at support@getcarddrop.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you provide
- Organizers: name, email address, company, billing information
- Guests: name, email, role, company, phone number, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social links you choose to share
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type
- Pages visited and time spent on the Service
- IP address
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service — displaying your contact card to other event attendees
- To process payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts)
- To improve the Service and diagnose technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Ephemeral Data
Guest contact cards are associated with a specific event pool. When a pool expires, guest data is no longer publicly visible in the pool. Organizers with active accounts may retain access to contact data collected at their events for their own records. We retain anonymized analytics data indefinitely.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- With other event attendees — your contact card is visible to all participants in the same pool
- With Stripe — for payment processing (governed by Stripe's privacy policy)
- With Supabase — for database and authentication services
- If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of others
6. Data Retention
We retain organizer account data for as long as your account is active. Guest contact data collected at events is retained to support organizer CRM features. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@getcarddrop.com.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect Service functionality.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@getcarddrop.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
